The other beloved Nintendo character to be granted a one-off Switch exclusive, Kirby is by far the coolest, most versatile and all-round kickass character in the company's pantheon.
Yes, we've got Link slicing down Ganon with the Master Sword and Mario flinging fireballs across the Mushroom Kingdom, but can any of them literally eat a boss and take their power? I think not.
Like Yoshi on the Switch, Kirby is also getting a multiplayer upgrade for local co-op, seeing a number of colourful companions share a bunch of abilities between them.
It'll be interesting to see how Nintendo handle ability-based progression when Kirby could just gobble up the nearest NPC and do everything himself, but like with Yoshi, it's just damn good seeing him back on home console.
