Whilst this might seem like an interesting idea on paper, in practice it is messy. You might be thinking: It has characters, a good story and an engaging premise. And while it does have all these factors, the main appeal and driving force behind the game is the fact that you make choices.

It is famous for its choices and interaction based gameplay. You simply cannot take a story that is told through interactive player choice and turn it into a passive experience. It can't work.

If you choose to adopt the story of the game, then you are alienating the fans who fell in love with the game because of their experience with it. And if it's based on a new story, why call it Heavy Rain? It has promise, but ultimately it is destined to be somewhat clumsy.

Though, it will be an instant 10/10 if they somehow have the guts to include the 'press X to Shaun' bug.
