10 Upcoming Video Games Bioshock Fans Will LOVE
10. The Blackout Club
The Blackout Club is an upcoming co-op survival horror title by Question Games, a studio headed by Jordan Thomas, one of the leading developers behind Bioshock 2, Dishonored and the 2014 Thief reboot.
The game looks to be a strange mix of Dishonored-esque stealth combined with the co-op survival mechanics of games like Dead by Daylight or the Friday the 13th game. Taking inspiration from the film The Goonies, a small group of players will be tasked with hunting down and gathering evidence against a strange entity haunting an otherwise typical suburban town.
Though there doesn’t seem to be any undersea horrors or Randian ideologs in The Blackout Club, the game won’t be short on suspense or terror. Something is clearly wrong in the game’s deceptively quiet little town, and, though we won’t have a solid idea of what players will be up against until the game releases in 2019, it’s certainly guaranteed to be downright petrifying.
The Blackout Club may be a departure from the shock series, but longtime fans of those games will doubtlessly be able to recognize the similarities once the game becomes available to everyone sometime next year.
