10 Upcoming Video Games That Deserve Way More Hype

10. Mighty No. 9

There's a very good reason that Mighty No. 9 is being billed as the spiritual successor to the ball-bustingly hard Mega Man series, and that's Keiji Inafune. The former employee of Capcom has spread his wings since creating the little blue man with a giant energy cannon as an appendage and decided to give fans of 'Rockman' a sequel in all but name (Capcom own the Megaman name, unfortunately). At the behest of a hugely successful Kickstarter-funded campaign, Mighty No. 9 has been gestating in development limbo ever since, suffering numerous delays and causing worry to spread through fans like an unstoppable plague. But it's because we all care so much that concern is rife among the ranks. Thousands of backers feel personally invested in the development process, and Inafune himself has asked fans personally for their input and feedback on the game on several occasions. It's hard to generate hype for a game that constantly gets pushed back, but with any luck, the latest tentative release date of early 2016 will come true. God knows, we've waited long enough already.
