Why It Will Flop: One reason and one reason only: nobody asked for it, and nobody wants it. After Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima acrimoniously split from Konami, fans largely turned their backs on the publisher for their perceived mistreatment of not only Kojima but also ex-Konami employees who worked with him.
As such, the idea that MGS fans en masse would pay to play a rather naff-looking zombie spin-off is pretty unlikely.
Most of the publicity surrounding the game has devolved into a discussion about Kojima and the game's overall transparent desperation, and though Konami has already confirmed the game won't launch for $60, it's still hard to imagine many going into their pockets for such a rancid proposition.
