10. Persona 5

What is it: After years of delays (originally announced for a Winter 2014 release date!), the newest title in the Persona franchise is finally here. Persona 5 is the fifth in the Persona franchise, a JRPG that mixes the trials of high school social life, monster capturing and dungeon crawling into a sleek and incredibly stylish 120-hour package.

The protagonist (nameless until named by the player) is transferred to Shujin Academy and meets fellow problem students Ryuji Sakamoto and Ann Takamaki.

Upon the protagonists awakening their Personas (manifestations of their true inner self) they form the Phantom Thieves of Hearts and use their abilities to attempt to free themselves from the world they view as a prison, going to any lengths to enact justice on acts of corruption and crime.

The Persona franchise has become an absolute phenomenon in Japan, and although it's not quite reached the same heights in the US, that could all change with the newest release in the franchise. With an amazing 94 on Metacritic and launching in a slightly dry month for the PS4, there's not much competition to be had.

When's it coming out: It's already out. Persona 5 launched the 4th of April for PS3 and PS4.
