God of War 3 is much beloved for its scale, graphics and brutality. That has almost always been the main attraction of the series. Not many people are into the series for their emotional connection of Kratos. That is why, on first glance, fans may have been somewhat disappointed by this trailer of God of War. The graphics aren't that impressive for a trailer and it only appears to be showcasing a small skirmish between some skeletons and a troll. That is until you realise that these are the graphics that you will get to play with and then the final reveal of the trailer. We see Kratos is on the back of one giant monster, fighting enemies and that there are even more giants scaling a mountain. It is a clever use of expectations for the series, almost intentionally disappointing a viewer before pulling a 180 and surprising them again. The trailer is hard to fault as it showcases in game graphics, fighting mechanics and the massive scale of your enemies while staying compelling and interesting through out.
