4. Sten - Dragon Age: Origins

Dragon Age: Origins features a colorful cast of characters that are all witty, funny, and deeply charismatic.

Sten is a warrior of the mysterious and foreign race of the Qunari. He can be recruited in Lothering, where he awaits death for killing a family, and will already prove difficult to deal with, as you have to convince him to not die!

Because the Qunari are a strict and draconic race (in more than one way), Sten isn't too talkative and won't share anything with you unless you're very insistent. Moreover, he considers those who don't follow his culture's way of life to be inferior, so interacting with him usually ends with a backhanded insult.

Still, over time, you can make Sten come out of his shell, and you will slowly discover that underneath his stern exterior lies a loyal friend with a soft spot for sweets and art.
