10 Video Game Confessions We’re Not Proud Of
7. Exploiting Glitches
Gaming over the last decade may have made leaps and bounds in terms of its artistry but this certainly doesn't mean that the technical side is now flawless.
Games are all too often plagued by bugs, glitches and other imperfections which can be both highly comical and exceedingly frustrating. If a glitch rears its ugly head in a game which can be exploited to the gamer's advantage, all too often we disregard the possibility of ignoring the technical hitch and instead shamelessly use it to our advantage. The developers never meant us to have these leg-ups but we don't care, to be honest.
One memorable example of this happening was in the climax to 2006's Gears Of War, where EVERYONE was forced to use the cover glitch to defeat the Locust leader, General RAAM, when completing the game on Insane mode.
It may have been the grand finale of a superb game but this didn't stop us from shooting the crap out of a defenseless, immobile RAAM to ensure that we got the Achievement for beating Gears Of War on the hardest difficulty.
