10 Video Game DLCs Better Than The Game

6. Revelations - Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow 2

There's no two ways about it - Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 was a damn disappointment. A colossal step down from its terrific predecessor, this sequel feels far too much like a Generic Action Game and eschews much of the series' signature personality in the process.

Neither the story nor most of the characters make much of a dent, the environments are bland, and the stealth gameplay is garbage.

Really it's only the combat that's propping this thing up, and fans haven't even had a new mainline Castlevania game in the near-decade since to wash the taste out of their mouths.

But at least the game's Revelations DLC did serve as something of a teeny palate cleanser - a prequel focused on Dracula's son Alucard which ditches the horrendous stealth sections and dials in more intense and challenging combat across its tight three-hour campaign.

If Lords of Shadow 2 was a dispiriting letdown, Revelations was a much-needed burst of light released just a month later.
