10 Video Game Missed Opportunities We're STILL Not Over
2. No Harry Potter Open-World RPG
Another series that's absolutely made for gaming is Harry Potter. We've had a few decent games over the years (and some terrible ones) but the truly missed opportunity is that, there's never actually been a truly open-world Potter RPG.
If you keep up with your gaming news, this may be about to change. Last year, an apparent Potter RPG was leaked, and looked absolutely great. It's never been confirmed yet and E3 this year has come and gone, but we've got to keep hoping that it's really coming.
Think about how great it could potentially be. You could choose your house, explore Hogwarts, take lessons, fight beasts, learn all kinds of spells and delve even further into the history and mythology of Harry Potter. For Harry Potter fans, an excuse to explore Hogwarts from top-to-bottom (and perhaps even beyond Hogwarts) is extremely tantalising.
It could even include a morality system. Feel like being a true Slytherin? You should bunk off lesson and terrorise your classmates. Or how about a Ravenclaw and spending your nights poring over books, perfecting your spellcraft?
Maybe you could be a Hufflepuff, and do Hufflepuff things like... be good at herbology? Or a brave Gryffindor who stops the evil Slytherin from terrorising the poor innocent first-years.
It could be incredible.
