7. Handsome Jack - Borderlands 2
Now, there's no denying that Hyperion Corporation president Handsome Jack is a pure tyrant, ruling over the planet of Pandora with a certain megalomania and effectively enslaving his own daughter Angel. But shucks, personality goes a long way, alright?
Jack is one of the most charming and likeable video game antagonists of the last decade, frequently showing up to vomit cheeky banter in the player's face, and in turn proving far more entertaining than the protagonists themselves.
Though there's absolutely no denying that Jack is a murderous maniac, he nevertheless deserves credit for creating two relatively stable areas on Pandora, Lynchwood and Opportunity, while the rest of the planet is a lawless cesspool.
But at the end of the day, we really wanted Jack to win because he's such a charismatic and exciting presence to be around, and in a world as cartoonishly OTT as Borderlands, he turned out to be its enduring emblem.
