10 Video Game Villains Who Didn't Show Up Until The End

9. Yu Yevon - Final Fantasy X

After battling your way through several decidedly challenging and badass bosses, Final Fantasy X throws the final Big Bad at players by way of ancient Zanarkand's old leader, the creator of Sin, and the father of Yunalesca himself - Yu Yevon.

Except, this much-ballyhooed sorcerer is quickly revealed to be a mere floating insect, having devolved into the weak, miniscule peculiarity you see before you.

The "boss fight" against him - if you can even call it that - is one in which the player's party cannot die, and consists largely of finding a method to stop Yu Yevon from healing himself.

Naturally, many fans were left wondering why Square Enix even bothered with such a non-entity of a final antagonist when the prior boss fight against Braska's Final Aeon would've been such a spectacular note on which to close things out.

Talk about a shoulder shrug of a final boss.
