10 Video Games NO ONE Can Agree On

10. Life Is Strange: Double Exposure

Life Is Strange: Double Exposure proved polarising from the moment it was announced, with many fans feeling that it was a mistake for Square Enix to release a direct sequel to the series' inaugural entry, especially given that its agonising final choice generated a decade's worth of spirited discourse.

Others, however, were extremely eager to be reunited with Max for another adventure, yet months removed from Double Exposure's release, it remains the franchise's most contested entry by far.

Many who were skeptical about a direct sequel to the original Life Is Strange didn't exactly have their minds changed by the end product, which attempted to respect both possible endings from the first game in a manner some found awkward and unsatisfactory.

And then there's Double Exposure's nods towards the future, concluding with a cliffhanger which seemingly tees up a wider Marvel Cinematic Universe-esque world of super-powered individuals, which to many simply strays too far from the series' more reined-in, character-driven origins.

Some did, however, laud developer Deck Nine for taking a bold swing at building out the IP in an unexpected direction, and there are absolutely those who were just elated to see Max again after such a long absence.

The reactions to this thing are all over the map, frankly, from "hot garbage" to "best of the series."
