Take it from a guy who got to know his fiancé playing Dungeons & Dragons, and recently proposed dressed as Link from The Legend of Zelda: not every relationship is the same. Here are some games to share with that special gamer in your life. This is by no means a definitive list, merely a few suggestions to get the ball rolling. If you want to spend time playing games with your loved one, it is definitely worth the effort of trying some games out for yourselves to find one that you both enjoy.

10. Nintendo Land

The newest title on this list, Nintendo Land was the first big game for the Wii U. Like Wii Sports before it, Nintendo Land is meant to show off the different features of the system. Unlike the former, however, this game has real substance to it. Most every Nintendo franchise is represented in the form of a mini-game. Fight your way through hordes of enemies as an Archer and Swordsman in The Legend of Zelda: Battle Quest or help your loved one return to their ship on a deserted planet in Pikmin Adventure. Alternatively, act as the ghost in Luigi€™s Ghost Mansion and scare the daylights out of your beau, or try to escape avoid getting caught by them as you steal fruit in Animal Crossing: Sweet Day. Whether you're with them or against them, the game has some of the best multiplayer experiences of the last few years, and same of the games even support up to 5 players. The addition of the Wii U gamepad makes for inventive new play styles, allowing for asynchronous 1 vs. 4 match-ups the like of which have never been done before. There are 6 multiplayer attractions in all, and though some may be better with all 5, most are very enjoyable for 2.
