10 Video Games That Punished "Cheesing"

10. Not Letting You Finish The Game - Turok 2

While it's nowhere near the most savage move a game has done in response to cheesing, Turok 2 manages to kick you down at the last possible second if it registers that you've not been playing the game fairly.

Because, if you happen to use cheats to speed your way to the final fight of the game, you'll then be blocked from witnessing the final cutscene - which is likely a good part of the reason you actually skipped to the end of the game, and thus immensely frustrating to be blocked from.

There are ways around this, of course - namely going to the stage before the final area, no-clipping to the final door, and then reaching the level this way so the system doesn't register that you didn't actually play the game to get there.

But it's still definitely taken more than one person by surprise when they thought they were fast tracking to see the end of the game, only to be denied it at the very last moment.
