The original Metal Gear Solid, released on the Playstation in 1999, would be the start of a beautiful franchise. Metal Gear Solid is a homage to the action movies of the 80s with a hero (secret agent Solid Snake) whos name was inspired by Kurt Russell's character Snake Plissken in 1981 Escape from New York. With its roots firmly placed in cinema history, it is time the game went full circle and took its place in film history. These who have played the game will understand the levels of stealth needed to complete the gameincluding hiding in boxes. The cinematic style and memorable dialogue would make a fantastic thriller (with a comedic edge).
