10 Video Games That Were ROBBED At The Game Awards 2018

10. Assassin's Creed: Odyssey

Odyssey is, arguably, the pinnacle of the Assassin's Creed franchise to date. It's more than a little unfortunate then that it didn't win any awards on Thursday night.

A sprawling Greek epic that gives players unprecedented choice and freedom in the series, the latest AC is a fantastic game polished to high heaven, and one that very well could have won the coveted game of the year award in years past.

Odyssey was nominated for four awards; Best Action/Adventure Game, Best Art Direction, Best Performance for Melissanthi Mahut as Kassandra, and the Game of the Year. Unforunately for Odyssey and Ubisoft, the game justifiably lost each of those categories to God of War, Return of the Obra Dinn, Roger Clark as Arthur Morgan in Red Dead Redemption 2, and God of War, respectively.

It was a banner year for the Assassin's Creed franchise, but poor timing, as it was a banner year for others as well.
