What€™s the Halo fanbase guilty of? Pretentiousness. No other franchise on the planet has been credited with as much unmerited esteem as Microsoft€™s flagship.

Halo, despite being a fairly competent shooter with an interesting sci-fi setting and perhaps the greatest multiplayer of all time, is regarded far too highly by its own fanbase. Have you ever had a Halo fanboy try and explain just how deep and nuanced the series really is, or how complex the themes are when you really think about them?

It€™s pretty embarrassing, especially when you consider that the games are basically just about a super-soldier who shoots at things and delivers cheesy one-liners. Come on guys, get some perspective.
