10 Video Games That Will Disappoint You In 2019
10. Dreams
Simply put, there is no way for Dreams to be a success. The game has been in some form of development since 2011 - right after LittleBigPlanet 2's launch - and we still don't fully understand what it is.
Based on what Media Molecule has shown, Dreams looks like little more than a creation suite; a glorified engine. Previews of the game have suggested it will be an intuitive and well-designed creation suite, one that very well could result in thousands of full-blown video games.
That's no joke, either. You will allegedly be able to create a game like Doom, while someone else creates something like SSX, and a third makes Half-Life Episode 3. Supposedly, the possibilities are rather endless.
The problem is, the game will be entirely reliant on its player base creating things and, if that doesn't take-off, Dreams will simply meander. The game could be a hit with creative types and streamers but it's almost certainly not going to be a commercial success. And, most terrifyingly of all, it could easily spell the end of Media Molecule; a studio that hasn't produced a single game in the time that Naughty Dog has made three and two hefty DLCs.
Oof.
