Why? Because even though some launch-day bugs gave way to a handful of backwards-flying dragons and quest-givers darting off into the distance or getting marooned on some wayward foliage, there's something just exquisitely loveable about the way Skyrim feels.

Story-wise you'll be felling dragons and orc-like creatures at every turn whilst slowly discovering your place in everything as the prophetical 'Dragonborn', but it's through exploring every inch of the world - and realising when you power up a certain Force Push-style attack you can blast a bear off a mountainside - that make for one hell of an experience you'll rarely find anyone speaking of with anything less than pure excitement.
