10 Video Games You Couldn't Make Yourself Finish

10. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim

On paper it might seem mildly sacrilegious to have never beaten The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, considering both its widespread popularity and the fact that you've had the better part of 15 years to make your way through it.

Though the legendary RPG's critical path can be easily beaten in around 30-40 hours, there are still a shocking number of players out there who've found the wider world so fascinatingly distracting that they've simply never bothered to actually clock the story.

The Skyrim subreddit is jam-packed with posts of players who talk of spending hundreds, even thousands of hours in the game and yet they haven't ever bothered to tie up the story, because they've found venturing off the beaten path infinitely more compelling.

Between the sheer amount of Things To Do away from the campaign and mind-boggling number of mods released for the game since launch, this isn't terribly surprising, and it's fair to assume that the exact same thing will happen with the upcoming The Elder Scrolls VI.
