God of War III is capable of keeping completionists busy for around 20 hours, but the upcoming PS4 instalment looks set to be a lengthier quest.
Barlog has taken to Twitter to dismiss rumours that the game clocks in at 100 hours, declaring ambitions to make it "as long and action-packed as humanly possible".
Now, this certainly isn't confirmation that the next God of War's campaign will offer gameplay spanning 100 hours or more - that's a little overkill - but Barlog's comments suggest it will exceed its predecessors since the capabilities of the PS4 makes longer games "humanly possible".
Moreover, expect an improved killer-to-filler content ratio this time around as those often crass mini-games have been killed off and cut scenes scaled back.
