10 Ways Red Dead Redemption 2 Can Build On GTA V's Best Features
10. More Multiple Protagonists
One of the most controversial features introduced in Grand Theft Auto V was the idea of controlling multiple protagonists, which let players switch between Michael, Trevor and Franklin during key moments in the story. Despite early player skepticism, Rockstar managed to pull this feature off, and with a focus on developing each of the characters, there was no weak link in the trio.
From the latest Red Dead Redemption 2 trailer we can see a posse riding together, and even in the main marketing image, we have a troupe of seven characters.
Whilst this isn't confirmation that the game will feature multiple protagonists, it would be interesting to see how Rockstar incorporate the feature with more than three. In Grand Theft Auto V this feature served the story and provided one of the best campaigns in Grand Theft Auto's history.
Furthermore, It would be an excellent way to discover a number of fresh perspectives on the wild west, and if the map is Rockstar's greatest yet, it may be a remedy to fast travel. The wild west is an environment mainly devoid of vehicles, and we don't want a repeat of Assassin Creed: Syndicate's train system.
