10 Ways Spyro: Reignited Is Better (And Worse) Than Crash Bandicoot: N Sane Trilogy

10. Worse: Third Game Feels Rushed

Debates will rage long into the night of just which game is the best in each sequel. The first games are the most streamlined and brought each franchise to life, while the sequels expanded with originality. However, while Warped is arguably the most polished of Crash’s N Sane trilogy, Year Of The Dragon feels almost scuffed.

Having already pushed the release date back once, Toys For Bob were clearly up against a tight deadline. Because of this, some work on the third game feels very rushed. In fact, it wasn’t even completed by Toys For Bob themselves. Instead it was contacted out to Sanzuru Games, the developers responsible for Sly Cooper 4; easily the worst Sly game.

That’s not to say Year Of The Dragon is bad, it just doesn’t have the well rounded quality the other five across both trilogies do. While Spyro The Dragon has a unique design for every dragon you release, the eggs in Year Of The Dragon are very samey. Four or five designs copied over and over. Agent 9’s FPS sections are a little off too.

It’s still a great game, it’s just lacking a little when held up in comparison.
