It's a shame there isn't more choice when it comes to the genre of humans-dating-pigeons simulators, as 'visual novel' Hatoful Boyfriend is actually a really good game. Obviously with it being a visual novel the game lives and dies on the quality of of its writing and story, two things which it excels at. With its multiple endings - more open up the more playthroughs are completed - Hatoful Boyfriend is a must for anyone wanting to try something that's genuinely different. You'll even find yourself getting emotionally attached to these birds. In terms of the weirdness/good game ratio, Hatoful Boyfriend is one of the best there is. After playing this, you may never look at a pigeon in the same way again.
