10 Weirdest Video Game Boss Battles
10. Majora - The Legend Of Zelda: Majora's Mask
I could go on for decades about what a masterpiece Majora's Mask is (I'll restrain for now though). Suffice to say, if you own a 3DS you really need to pick up the recent remake and gives it the love it deserves.
Anyway, it's fair to say that Majora's Mask is in general the weirdest Zelda game, with the weirdest bosses. There's a mechanical goat, a masked jungle man that I can't help but feel might be a teensy bit racist, and a fish called George (or something similar). None of the above are anywhere near as bizarre as the final encounter though.
The lead up to the endgame is odd enough. A demonic mask decides to possess the moon, so naturally Link gives chase... to the moon. Upon entering said astral body (which is a serene field dotted with children playing) you can finally fight Majora.
What follows is as far from any epic Link/Ganon battle as you can get. You're in a small room surrounded by fluctuating colours that give off an intense LSD vibe, and you fight a mask which eventually sprouts legs and then finally turns into a big ol' demon.
I've personally played through that last fight at least a dozen times, and I'm still not entirely sure what was going on.
