Granted, Conker's Bad Fur Day is pretty damn strange from start to finish, but largely in a good, even hilarious way. This unexpectedly crude, graphic title from Rare landed on the N64 and immersed us fully in its world, before serving up an ending that was ridiculous even for the pretty insane standards of this title. Things seem to be at their worst when Don Weaso, the game's antagonist, murders Conker's beloved girlfriend, Berri, Conker briefly fights Weaso, and then...the game freezes. Conker is bemused that Rare didn't beta test the game more thoroughly, and asks the developers for some help, so they give him a Katana, which he uses to defeat an alien who had been about to kill him. He then asks the devs to bring Berri back to life, but they've already left, leaving Conker to lament his lost love before delivering a reflective monologue about appreciating everything you have. Depressing and very, very odd indeed. But certainly not bad at all.
