11 Shameful Video Game Achievements You Don’t Want To Share

Offensive, embarrassing and perverted achievements.

Achievements are usually a badge of honour we wear proudly on our gaming profiles.

We work hard to get some of these. Even though for the most part they're entirely pointless other than for bragging rights, for some reason, we all love to get achievements, and the more we have, the better we feel.

It's particularly important to have as many as possible just in case somebody checks out your profile while you're playing online - you don't want to appear as if you're some kind of noob with under 10,000 Gamerscore! Sometimes we wake up at night from nightmares where that's happened.

However, not every achievement out there is something you want on your profile. In the case of some of them...wearing them on your profile definitely ain't a badge of honour...it's a badge of relentless shame.

There are some gaming achievements out there that are so embarrassing, so pervy or so gloriously offensive that, honestly, not getting them at all is probably better for your moral compass.

Unfortunately the desire to keep that Gamerscore creeping up or adding another trophy to the list is just too much for the most part...and we're sure many of you out there are very guilty of some of these truly shameful achievements being unlocked.

11. What Are You Doing? - Nier: Automata

You couldn’t possibly of received this achievement without being a bit of a creep.

Developer of Nier: Automata, Platinum Games, knew that people would be a tad ‘investigative’ with one of the main protagonists of the game, android 2B.

This achievement is awarded to the player for a very specific, dubious activity that you probably wouldn’t want to admit to.

To receive ‘What Are You Doing’, the player must position the camera in such a way that they’re trying to peer up 2B’s skirt. The developers knew people would try to do this and added in a special animation where 2B – rightly so! – swats away the probing camera.

Doing it once is bad enough, but to get the achievement, you must do it 10 times.

The actual achievement itself is awful in general, but at least they had the good grace to call out anyone who actually bothered doing it.

We imagine trophy and achievement hunters definitely hung their heads in shame for a while after receiving this one.
