After arriving in Japan last year, Persona 5 finally landed in the west this past April and immediately became a critical phenomenon, currently standing as the overall best-reviewed PS4 game of 2017.

JRPGs, or indeed games as a whole, rarely come as deep and overflowing with content as Persona 5, an almost intimidatingly feature-rich title that can easily engulf a player's life for weeks or even months.

Though the graphics could arguably be a little sharper, the story, characters and combat make it certainly the series' best game to date and also a great jumping-on point for those new to the franchise.

You might want to wait until your gaming schedule is looking pretty light before even attempting to get through it, but once Persona 5 has you, you'll struggle to tear yourself away.
