It's only back in 2014 that one YouTube found a never-seen-before way to give Mario infinite lives, which has since been confirmed by other players. How to unlock it: Start a two-player game, then get Mario killed on the second level (1-2). As Luigi, get all the way over to World 5-2, find the hidden beanstalk, then start climbing it while it's still growing and get Luigi killed by the hammers. As Mario, you'll spawn back in World 1-2, but the vine Luigi climbed will mysteriously sprout out of the ground. Use the vine to infinitely bounce the beetle shells and gain endless lives.
