One sure-fire, boomstick way to make horrifying monsters less scary? Being able to mow them down by the thousands. That's the real problem facing zombies: throw a shotgun into the mix and they're no longer scary. In Evil Dead: Hail to the King you play as Ash Williams hacking and slashing your way through the sets of the original films. No one denies that the Deadites of the movie are creepy, calling you to come join them on a permanent basis, so you might expect the same of a game based on it. The Evil Dead remake was even more traumatizing, taking a chainsaw to the original's comedic elements and leaving only a nightmare hangover for the most hardcore horror fans. As for the game, the first time a deadite jumps out of the ground it might give you a rush, but five thousand deadites later you'll learn to adjust. And be instantly bored.
