8. Does Anyone Play These Minigames More Than Once?

With the franchise being largely set in huge, bustling cities, it would be fair to expect a variety of different games, activities and such to engage in beyond the main story.

Sure enough, Grand Theft Auto has always offered a selection of minigames.

From the touchscreen scratch cards of the Nintendo DS’s Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars to yoga, golf, bowling, basketball, arm wrestling, tennis, Beefy Baron and many more besides, there’s no shortage of timewasters to enjoy when you need a break from the campaign.

While this is something that players always appreciate, many of these timewasters are exactly that: throwaway distractions added because minigames are 'expected'.

Some do offer rewards (boosts to your character’s stats, say), but others are very forgettable.
