12 Most Satisfying Villain Deaths In Gaming History

8. Andrew Ryan - BioShock

Cause of Death: After protagonist Jack confronts the father of Rapture, Andrew Ryan, he discovers that he's been a puppet for the vast majority of the game, with the phrase, "Would you kindly?" being used by Atlas throughout to manipulate his actions. Ryan informs Jack that he is, in fact, his father, before famously telling Jack, "In the end, what separates a man from a slave? Money? Power? No... A man chooses, a slave obeys", and using the command to force Jack to murder him with a golf putter. After three strikes fail to do the job, a fourth hit breaks the end of the putter, impaling the metal in Ryan's skull, killing him. Why It's So Satisfying: By all appearances, this death really shouldn't be satisfying at all, considering that we're forced to carry it out and it comes at Ryan's own command, who ends up dying with his belief system very much in tact. Still, after being manipulated for so long, it's gratifying to take out our frustrations on somebody, and why not make it our own deadbeat dad who's been trying to kill us throughout the game? It's brutal and like nothing we've ever seen in a video game showdown before, far exceeding the subsequent, more generic final boss fight with Atlas.
