12 Video Game Series That Are Crying Out For A Remake, Remaster Or New Entry

12. Def Jam: Fight for NY

In many ways, Def Jam: Fight For New York simply shouldn’t exist. The sequel to an equally improbably wrestling game featuring 2000s rap royalty (Def Jam Vendetta), Fight For NY is one of the greatest fighters of the PS2, Gamecube and Xbox generation.

Snoop Dogg plays the main antagonist in this brutal fighting title, that’ll have you snapping pool cues over opponents' heads, and throwing enemies in front of subway trains. It offers fluid fighting, customisable player characters, and a roster that includes the likes of Sean Paul, Busta Rhymes, and Danny Trejo.

Licensing of both the characters and the huge soundtrack might make this nearly impossible to remake or remaster, given how expensive it could be to recreate in a modern age.

But what we would give for the opportunity to throw a celebrity through a window like it’s 2004 again, or learn lethal new fighting moves from punk legend Henry Rollins.
