12 Worst Video Game Movies Of All Time

12. Resident Evil

Consider this entry an excuse to put the entire franchise to an end, something audiences that weren't stoned or bored had wanted to do for a long time. What started as a potential project for Father of the Modern Zombie George A. Romero devolved into an excuse for noted hack Paul W.S. Anderson to show off wife's Milla Jovovich's considerable stuntwork and overall attractiveness.

The first film feels like the least offensive - with much of fan and critical ire directed toward the first sequel - with the amnesiac Alice awakening in a mansion, only to become trapped with zombies and a group of mercs in an underground lab. But repeat viewing reveals a host of flaws and outright steal from better films (Cube, but with lasers); none more unforgivable than serving as a harbinger for one of the most uninventive, overblown franchises in recent memory.

There's talk of an upcoming reboot, hopefully without Anderson's involvement.
