7. Will Any Legacy Characters Appear? - Mass Effect: Andromeda

The Question: Though the new Mass Effect brings the "Shepard era" to an end, is it possible that we'll see cameo appearances from any of the universe's characters? Shep? Garrus? Samara? Please?

The Likely Answer: Probably not. BioWare have flat-out stated that Andromeda takes place "far away and long after" Mass Effect 3, and while some species throughout the galaxy are capable of lifespans lasting a millennia, it does seem like BioWare are keen to forge a distinctly new path moving forward.

One can't entirely discount the possibility of an Easter egg or two that nods towards certain characters, and we could even run into the distant ancestors of some characters, but it's best to place your hope in Andromeda's new cast of characters...whoever they are.

Considering how grating fan service can be for its own sake, it's probably for the best.
