13 Most Disappointing Video Games Of 2014

7. WWE 2K15

There was much excitement surrounding the first WWE game collaboration between Yuke's and Visual Concepts, yet the brakes were soon enough put on the hype train once reviews for the previous-gen version of the game began to pour in. Soon enough, every wrestling fan's worst fears were confirmed when, three weeks later, the Xbox One and PS4 versions were released to similarly damning critical notices. Though the visuals are better than ever before and ther's an ambitious attempt to focus more on replicating the style and pacing of real WWE matches, other additions, like the introduction of chain wrestling, fall almost completely flat. The MyCareer mode is meanwhile head-smackingly boring, online multiplayer continues to be problematic, the creation aspects feel stripped down, the roster is considerably behind the times, and worst of all, singles ladder matches have been inexplicably removed from the game, among other popular modes. While unquestionably a step forward technically, the series' leap to next-gen platforms is an awkward one to say the least.
