13 Gaming Heroes Who Sucked Next To Their Own Sidekicks

11. Soap MacTavish (Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare)

The Modern Warfare trilogy helped bring Call of Duty into the modern era (and also make it the biggest entertainment franchise in the world) and it's appropriate that it also introduced the most memorable hero in Call of Duty history. Captain Price is playable in a couple of missions throughout the series but mainly acts as a sidekick to the player, especially in Call of Duty 4 where he assists Soap MacTavish through the majority of the game. Despite all his heroics though, Price will forever best be remembered for his remarkable moustache (Activision recently announced a customisation pack for Call of Duty: Ghosts based around Captain Price €“ it features a red dot sight resembling the Captain's moustache). It's probably the most famous moustache in entertainment since Tom Selleck's effort in Magnum PI. Facial hair alone doesn't define Captain Price though; the variety of badass stunts he pulls off throughout the series does. Soap comes into his own later in the series (mainly when you're not controlling him) but Captain Price remains the iconic figure of the franchise to this day.
