FromSoftware's titles are some of the most gruelling put to gaming machines, and Bloodborne is no different. A gothic horror theme permeates through a title that is as terrifyingly difficult as it is visually unsettling, following a hunter attempting to get to the bottom of an abnormal blood disease infecting the rest of the inhabitants of the game. Intricately hard controls are coupled with story that only becomes clearer the more you dig into the breadcrumbs scattered around the world, but most are defended by terrible foes out for nothing more than your death.

An excellent game for those that can stand its mechanics, Bloodborne is one that you've got to at least try once - and if you end up loving the brutal way it's been designed, hope you do manage to actually finish before you really do die.
