Metacritic Score: 73-75 A lot of Tomb Raider fans steered away from 2010's Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light because they dismissed it as a silly downloadable title that wasn't a "proper" Tomb Raider game. While the isometric platformer was indeed a far cry from the third-person mechanics of the core titles, that didn't invalidate it at all: the game received rave reviews even if that did little to endear some players to it. The long-awaited sequel, Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, has suffered through a similar below-the-radar treatment, which is somewhat apt given that it's pretty much just more of the same...not that this is a bad thing in any way. Extremely entertaining both as a single-player experience and as a co-op romp, Osiris is a short but sweet blast through a number of elaborate, visually rich tombs, coming complete with a number of optional Challenge Tombs which will no doubt have players coming back to try and top their high score. It's hardly a particularly challenging game and may not sway too many who have already turned their nose up at this spin-off series, but Osiris is also a welcome stop-gap as Tomb Raider fans everywhere anticipate the upcoming Rise of the Tomb Raider.
