1. A Major Game Will Be Released Immediately Following A Conference
The Rumour: A major upcoming game currently without a confirmed release date, such as Crackdown 3, Detroit: Become Human, Dreams or Sea of Thieves, is released digitally immediately after the end of a conference.
How Likely Is It?: Publishers have been experimenting with more radical, immediate releases in recent years, though typically the "...and you can play it right now!" announcements are reserved for indie games which arrive with zero hype and are immediately released.
Doing so with a AAA game is a fascinating idea, though one that understandably makes executives nervous, considering the perceived importance of a months-long marketing campaign.
It's unlikely, but holy Hell, it would be awesome. 3/10
