Japan Studio's magnum opus, Gravity Rush was one of the other starting titles for the PS Vita, and easily the most popular and best selling games for the device to date. Demonstrating the Vita's full potential, Gravity Rush has very few faults. However the two biggest annoyances are the combat scheme and repetitive gameplay. The combat, while sometimes creative (such as a special technique where gravity creates a black hole that sucks up enemies), is mainly uninspired, with the only standard move being an inaccurate flying kick that is rendered virtually useless later in the game. Repetitive missions, usually to the tune of "go here, fight this, come back", and very few changes in terms of gameplay mechanics make this beautiful game grow dull in a short amount of time. The sheer ability to shift gravity (which is excellently executed in the game) nearly overcomes the few tedious frustrations this game provides, but they still turn some players off after a while. The amazing aesthetic environments with highly interactive objects and people in the game also distract players from the infuriating portions of the adventure, but not enough in the grand scheme of things. If the Flappy Bird could actually fly somewhat decently, or just shift gravity, you can kind of experience what Gravity Rush is like (except the latter is much better, in all aspects).
