The Moment: Announced at the tail-end of 2013 and released last September, Hyrule Warriors is a crossover game that combines the hack-and-slash gameplay of Dynasty Warriors with the settings and characters of The Legend of Zelda. The game is, above all else, pretty weird. Why It's WTF: Regardless of the game's quality (it's decent, but little more), who could've seen a team-up coming that brought such disparate, disconnected franchises together? Crossovers typically either flop horribly or are a huge success, and against the odds, this bizarre crossover game exceeded Nintendo's sales expectations, which in of itself is enough to make a man say, "WTF!?"
