Pokémon games love celebrating birthdays, though sometimes in remarkably subtle ways. In Pokémon Black and White, the owner of the Pokémon Musical Theatre will give the player a prop birthday cake on his/her birthday. In the same game, the mist on Route 14 and 15 will clear away, and in Icirrus City, Aha, Wye, and Ditoh will give the player a special quiz. In Pokémon X and Y, if you play the game on your birthday, confetti poppers will fire off from the ceiling of the Pokémon Center; the music will also change to being birthday-themed, and the nurse will wish you a happy birthday.
