The Prediction: Sony finally answers fans' prayers by allowing PSN users to change their freaking decade-old usernames.
Why It Will Happen: This is probably the most-requested player feature on PS4, and it's unfathomable to think that Sony, with their immense sales success right now, isn't allocating resources to fixing one of their most nagging quality-of-life issues. It has to happen eventually, right?
Why It Might Not: President of SIE Worldwide Studios himself, Shuhei Yoshida, has indicated in the past that there are a ton of intricate, moving parts in PSN's infrastructure which make a name change difficult, and if they can't get it done in a decade, is there much point having any hope left?
Plus, with PSN's recent network outages, it doesn't exactly seem like Sony has a firm handle on any aspect of their online services, let alone usernames.
