11. F-Zero GX (2003)

This was Nintendo's follow up to Mario Kart... If Mario Kart was a near epileptic fit inducing, space racing, hover pod flying machine of frustration. F-Zero GX was an incredibly high speed racer that had colours and graphics like nothing seen before it with it's mixture of flashing hue changes and pure image of the intergalactic tracks. The insane pace and difficulty of the tracks meant that players nearly had to go through each race a dozen times to memorize each turn, just to avoid falling off every single time as there are no barriers in the majority of levels. The story mode is just as ridiculous as the arcade or multiplayer formats, taking near months on end to get it right and actually take down the impossible AI.
