This might end up being a bit of a long shot, given just how busy Naughty Dog have been since the first Last of Us released in 2013, but wouldn't it be amazing if The Last of Us Part II released towards the end of the year?
Sony are unlikely to put two of their exclusives up against each other in the same quarter, so it could be a case of either Sucker Punch's game releasing or Naughty Dog's, but it's fair to say that The Last of Us is the more bankable IP. The first released to immense critical acclaim and the sequel is one of the most highly anticipated sequels of the generation; if it released this year, it would no doubt continue Sony's streak of brilliant console exclusives.
Either way, fans can expect more details surrounding the game to come as the year progresses. Let's just hope they keep most of the story under wraps until it releases proper.
