This was the first time many of us heard Charles Martinet's Mario voice in a video game (unless you played the bizarre Mario's Game Gallery for the PC). Hearing it teased the possibilities of the N64, ushering in a new era of properly vocalised Nintendo protagonists (though with its limited sound capabilities, the N64 proved not to be the best console to do that with). The phrase is extremely catchy too, and it's little wonder that it's gone on to become one of the most widely referenced quotes in gaming.
