15 Reasons Why Psychonauts Is The Greatest Game Ever Made

By Richard John Dorricott /

15. The Supporting Characters

Psychonauts is full of characters running about Whispering Rock, or holed up at the Asylum. If you asked me to name all of them, I€™d struggle even finding a place to start. Unlike other games that have flooded themselves with extraneous characters, Psychonauts somehow manages to give each of its supporting cast a sizeable amount of personality. Some are more detailed than others, but even the most inconsequential character has a few identifiable character traits and quirks. Milka is shy and uses her invisibility to escape unwanted attention; Dogan is volatile and susceptible to manipulating, and he might also be a psychopath; Elka is domineering; Melvin is brave and loves to wrestle bears; Bobby Zilch is a bully with a crush; Maloof is a mastermind, and Clem and Crystal spend all day pretending to be super happy about everything to mask their deep sadness.
